Joie de vivre
My life may be exceedingly boring, but some days are better than others. And sometimes, there’s no definable reason why. And sometimes, the reasons are silly.
Like today.
It rained today. All day. Cloudy and gray and no hint of that damn sun in sight. It was perfect. Absolutely, 100% perfect.
After work (boring, as usual, though I think I’m starting to adjust to the shit schedule and the work itself), I returned home to the warm, computery bosom of Ghiert, and what do I discover but a freaking preview for Left4Dead 2. Oh yes. This game is going to fucking rock. I am so damn excited. November 17th can’t come soon enough.
And then, to top it all off… I got my new phone today. I can call and text again. I’m no longer so very cut off from the rest of the world. Huzzah.
Anyway, no matter how hard I try, I just can’t come up with lyrics for “Accidentally British,” one of the hit singles by Three Button Maus (I’m fair certain that’s the spelling we settled on… though how the hell can I verify that, as one of the band members is in Russia?). So, I’ve decided to write a song called “Go Fuck Yourself” instead. I think it has the potential to be a kickass punk anthem. Or something.
Also, I miss my old band. Queezon Dweezl. We had such memorable hits. Like “Klondike” and “Fairy.” “Fairy” was my favorite, a touching ode about a retarded child chasing a flashlight light. It was pure poetry.
Relationship amusement: Here’s most relationships I try to get involved in (in this strip, I am playing the part of the male). And this is me after I get my heart broken (where’s the damn emo fairy now?). And here’s a very humorous, slightly exaggerated look at my views on commitment.
Also, it looks like Nancy’s gone off her rocker. Way to be, Mrs. Reagan. Give Ronald my best.
